Evolve Commercial is digital procurement consultancy that provides commercial and procurement services to help our clients successfully deliver their complex and security-sensitive technology programmes. The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is designed for individuals who require flexibility to balance work with other commitments, and as such you can work with us to agree core hours that balance your needs with those of the business. As a Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and improving our business operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness as we grow.


Main Responsibilities

●     Provide direct support to the directors in the implementation of business strategies to improve performance and achieve company goals.

●    Pro-actively manage and co-ordinate across supporting functions & suppliers (e.g. IT, HR, Recruitment) to track and monitor ongoing activities.

●     Assist in the development and management of budgets and financial plans.

●   Manage day-to-day business operations, including invoicing, travel and event planning, providing support to recruitment and other administrative activities as required.

●    Utilise the company’s systems to monitor Key Performance Indicators relating to finances and budgets, utilisation, travel, and other key cost categories.

●    Manage the company’s social media presence.

●    Provide key input and secretariat support to monthly board meetings.

●    Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

●    Ensure company SharePoint & Teams sites are efficiently maintained.



Required Skills & Experience

●     Proven experience as a Business or Operations Manager, or similar role.

●     Very strong numerical skillset and analytical abilities.

●     Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

●   Ideally an interest in technology, but at least strong proficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with other software that supports business functions.

●     Excellent MS PowerPoint skills.

●     Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

●     Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.


Qualifications

●  Professional qualifications and/or a business-related degree are desirable but not necessary if you have demonstrable relevant experience.

●     Ability to obtain a baseline security clearance (BPSS) is essential.
