Job Opportunity: Junior Pastry Sous Chef

Salary: £50,000+ per annum

Start date: Immediate

Smyth & Co is delighted to represent a prestigious fine dining restaurant located within an iconic 5-star hotel in central London. Our client, renowned for their modern British cuisine, is seeking a talented Junior Pastry Sous Chef with a background in fine dining to join their esteemed culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and executing innovative dessert menus.

  • Oversee and manage the pastry section, ensuring high standards of preparation and presentation.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations.

  • Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and cost control.

Shift Patterns:

  • 45-hour contract: 5 days on, 2 days off

  • Half-day Sundays, closing at 4pm

  • Flexible shifts: mornings, afternoons, and doubles

Requirements:r

  • Proven experience in fine dining or high-end establishments.

  • Strong pastry skills and creativity.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
