We're looking for a Pathology Systems Manager to take responsibility for the effective running of all Pathology related applications supporting the business services (including but not limited to CliniSys Winpath LIMS, Cirdan Ultra LIMS, Cyberlab, Instrument Manager, Randox 24/7 and Electronic Blood Management System). You'll be a key member of teams involved in new software systems rollout and associated training.

As the Pathology Systems Manager you'll take leadership for the relationship between the Pathology business and Technology for all Pathology Technology operational services. Highlighting Pathology Issues to Technology and pursuing system faults to a satisfactory conclusion. New demand/project requests would be pursued jointly with the Technology Product Owner responsible for Diagnostic Applications.

As our Pathology Systems Manager you will:

  • Provide specialist advice and support for the effective running of the new Cirdan ULTRA Pathology related applications (including but not limited to Cirdan ULTRA LIMS, ULTRA Consultant Portal, Phoenixsoft and Cirdan Instrument Manager).

  • Attend the Masterfile training for Cirdan ULTRA to gain low level knowledge of ULTRA config and setup to enable support of the new ULTRA LIMS at cut over.

  • Provide SME support during the cut over period

  • Provide specialist advice and support to the LIMS replacement project team during the implementation and test phases. This will include elements of testing the new Cirdan ULTRA LIMS and the connected estate.

  • Assist with troubleshooting activities within the pathology estate during key project phases and post go live.

  • Assist with Analyser connectivity testing to the new Instrument Manager

  • Attend onsite meetings/workshops/Go Live where required.

  • Resolve queries, complaints and problems that arise during the normal course of using a Technology service, related to users applications.

  • Close cooperation with other Technology teams to progress issues to satisfactory resolution.

  • Deploy and troubleshoot analyser interfaces & connectivity to the Wellbeing and Hospital estate in conjunction with Technology resource.

  • Support the Winpath / Cyberlab System Administrator as required in maintaining and updating codes, rules and users as required.

  • Ensure Nuffield Health's Information Security Policy is adhered to by users in Pathology function.

To succeed as our Pathology Systems Manager, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Registered with the HPC as a biomedical scientist or equivalent

  • Qualification applicable to the HPC registration requirements

  • Significant post registration experience, preferably including multi-disciplinary experience, with experience as a Pathology Team Leader

  • Pathology IT Systems Management experience
