The Training Management Group (TMG), within the Navy Command Personnel and Training (P&T) Directorate, enables the collaborative working between the RN and the Selborne Contractor who delivers RN training services. It performs the �customer� function to manage the contract and hold the Contractor to account for the delivery of services to the volume and quality standard required.

The Business Support AO2 (BS AO2) will work to the BS EO to provide admin support to the TMG Business Support Team to ensure robust processes are in place across the TMG that deliver first class, efficient and effective management of business processes for the TMG. The role will also provide support to processing of contract payments through CP&F, provide admin support to the risk manager to enable them to maintain an accurate register of TMG risks and also support the production of financial forecasts. Working with the BS EO, the BS AO2 will ensure that TMG HQ personnel and financial matters are handled in a timely manner by:

Delivering a high-quality service when handling enquiries; provide advice on process, understand the customer�s needs, manage expectations accordingly and escalate complex cases for resolution through the BusSpt/TMG chain of command.��

Proactively contribute to the work of the�BusSpt/TMG�and remain open to taking on new and different roles in support of the Team.��

Embracing new technology and ways of working to provide Information Management support to Command and Business Support Team as required.�

Being confident at engaging with stakeholders at various levels across the RN and Defence.

Knowing the importance of handling sensitive information discreetly, creating and maintaining professional and trusted working relationships across the Directorate, wider Navy Command Headquarters and Defence.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

Deliver Personnel support to TMG organisation by:�

Identifying relevant HR Comms across the command and Defence in order to prepare and disseminate monthly HQ Comms communique to all TMG Civil Servants and Military personnel

Maintaining records of TORs, and PDRs, and Scheme of Complement for all TMG Civil Servants by proactively seeking and gathering information from individuals, Line Managers and Central Workforce Team.�

Maintaining records of all mandatory training for TMG personnel to ensure all are in date, obtaining information to advise individuals and Line Managers of progress in completed training.

Provide admin support to BS Risk Manager to enable them to maintain an up to date TMG Risk Register. �

Act as Electronic Procurement Card Holder for TMG personnel for payment of Thank You Scheme and Professional Subscriptions ensuring timely processing of requests and maintaining record of spend.

Input and manage requisitions for contract payments on MOD payments system (CP&F)

You will have a track record of proven administration experience with capability of using all Microsoft applications.
