About The Role

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, who have won numerous awards for Operational, Business and H&S excellence over the last two years.

The Transport Supervisor will work full time, Monday to Friday, 4:00am- 12:30pm. With varied hours and days in peak season.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function
  • Ensure that the trunking operation runs as smoothly as possible throughout the evening
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements
  • Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required
  • Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries
  • Ensure drivers are managed correctly to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using the company recognised processes to manage full compliance
  • Thoroughly investigate any incidents, accidents and near misses when required
  • Assist the training team with the addition of new drivers to the transport department
  • Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers

About You

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be experienced working within a transport office for multi drop deliveries
• Must have a minimum of 1 years team leader / management experience within a transport or logistics office

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong IT skills - in particular Excel
• Strong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong knowledge of driver compliance
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate
• LGV Licence and CPC Card
