About The Role
In light of our business's sustained expansion, we are seeking a Transport Supervisor to oversee our Transport Depot operations. This role involves supervising the Transport Depot and stepping in for the Transport Manager when necessary.
This presents an excellent opportunity to be part of an award-winning Transport team recognized for its operational, business, and health & safety excellence over the past two years.
The Transport Supervisor will work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM, with varying hours during peak seasons.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the transport management team in ensuring the efficient operation of the transport function.
- Oversee the trunking operation to guarantee smooth operations throughout the night.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with legal maintenance requirements.
- Support drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard as needed.
- Assist in preparing vehicles for deliveries.
- Manage drivers effectively to adhere to driving hours and working time regulations, ensuring full compliance with company protocols.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any incidents, accidents, or near misses as required.
- Collaborate with the training team to onboard new drivers into the transport department.
- Support the Transport Manager and training team in recruiting new drivers.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
• Proven experience in a transport office environment managing multi-drop deliveries.
• Minimum of 1 year of team leader or management experience in a transport or logistics setting.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
• Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Strong understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of driver compliance.
• IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate preferred.
• LGV Licence and CPC Card are advantageous.
