About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot team at Wren Kitchens. As a key member of our award-winning Transport team, you will be responsible for the supervision of the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transport function. You will work closely with our transport management team to achieve this goal.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist our transport management team in the efficient management of the transport function, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and on schedule.
  • Ensure that the trunking operation is optimized to meet the needs of our business, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all vehicles to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Assist with the boxing of vehicles for deliveries, ensuring that all items are properly secured and ready for transport.
  • Manage drivers to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using company-recognized processes to ensure full compliance.
  • Investigate any incidents, accidents, and near misses, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Assist the training team with the onboarding of new drivers to the transport department.
  • Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team. To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience working within a transport office for multi-drop deliveries
  • Minimum of 1 year's team leader/management experience within a transport or logistics office

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
  • Strong knowledge of driver compliance
  • IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate
  • LGVC Licence and CPC Card
