Jury Officer�s perform an important role in a crown court, providing excellent customer service and administration. They have the confidence to speak publicly in a court setting and work alongside members of the Judiciary.

Your role

You will be based in the Crown Court and provide support to the Jury. This is a predominantly customer facing role, which includes public speaking in a court setting. You will have regular contact with court users, including members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.

Alongside your public facing duties, you will be assigned to teams to carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court�system or provide administrative support to other functions within HMCTS.

Working as part of a flexible team, you will be expected to undertake a range of the functions and responsibilities specified.

Key Responsibilities include:

To undertake the Jury Officer role. Communicate and work with the Judiciary, the Court Managers, Court staff, and other internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and customers to collect information, check facts, communicate or enforce judicial decisions.Assisting�court users, supporting listing and rota management, checking filesProcessing and calculating Jury Expenses and dealing with any related enquiriesTo work as a team to problem solve and contribute to small projectsCollecting and Assembling InformationTo deliver a helpful, prompt, polite and �right first time� service to all court users

Your skills and experience���������������������

Friendly and approachable manner with excellent customer service skills.Ability to multitask, whilst working in a fast-paced environment.Good written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills�IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.

Further details:

This is an admin role within the Crown Court Listing Office. Duties will include, processing Interpreter bookings, customer enquiries & results, Interaction with criminal justice agencies and jurors.� The role will encompass Jury officer duties in which the successful candidate will be expected to perform elements of public speaking with confidence and clarity, delivering at pace within a 16 Crown Court Centre.��

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public.��

Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week.
