Job summary

We are recruiting for a Senior HR Officer, Payroll to join our HR Services team�as a subject matter expert for issues relating to payroll and pensions.

As a Senior HR Officer, Payroll, you will�work closely with HR colleagues to�provide excellent payroll, pensions and employee benefits. You will be accountable for pensions and employee benefits and support the Head of HR Services in managing month payroll, annual pay awards and pay changes�ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time. You will be expected to keep up to date in legislative pay, tax and pension changes and use your knowledge and expertise to increase payroll�accuracy and develop capability and implement best working practices across the team.

Qualifications

Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP), Foundation Degree in Payroll Management (Level 4/5) or other similar qualification.

An excellent knowledge and understanding of payroll practice, policies and procedures.Experience of operating and managing a digital payroll system.Ability to proactively plan and prioritise work effectively ensuring targets and deadlines are met.A good working and practical knowledge of the Data Protection Act which is critical to ensure information is not stored, or shared inappropriately. .Experience of managing people, delivering and improving payroll services.

Alongside your salary of �34,280, Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills contributes �9,255 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
