Job Description

Applicants must have a minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development, ideally in the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.

We are looking for an analytical, driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive the oil and gas jobsearch.com brand across the globe. The ideal candidate should attract and secure business, through activities such as business development calls, market mapping and networking to develop relationships and new business opportunities that provide profitable results.

Business Development is key to the role and our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for building their new book of business across multiple regions. Based on your success this position will naturally move into an account management role.


The candidate is expected to conduct regular client meetings remotely or in person and undertake networking activities. Therefore, the successful candidate is expected to be presentable, customer focused, and possess excellent communication skills and a professional manner.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a personal strategy to grow long term business, achieve assigned sales goals as well as revenue goals.
  • Proactively initiate contact with potential clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, industry knowledge, current expertise and existing contacts
  • Understand the client’s business needs, anticipate future needs and help determine ideal talent acquisition solutions.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with existing clients in order to facilitate repeat business.
  • Lead landscape analysis and relationship building for new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders both internally regarding development strategy, market trends, with the intent of driving business expansion.
  • Attending conferences and industry events 
  • Self- Manage your sales flow through the companies CRM system

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • A self-starter with desire for success who can spot new opportunities.
  • Driven individual motivated by sales results.
  • 3 to 5 years of years of experience in a business development role preferably in the Oil & Gas and Energy Industry.
  • Entrepreneurial and excellent at pitching new concepts through impactful business cases that demonstrate meaningful value.
  • Proven results in partnerships, including negotiating agreements, navigating complex organizations, onboarding clients, and managing/optimizing ongoing relationships.
  • Understanding of market trends, analytics, customer needs and competitive intelligence data.
  • Comfortable managing through change and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well organised individual with excellent communication
