We have two Learning & Talent Lead roles, each role will have an area of specialist focus:

Learning & Talent - Talent Development

You�ll lead a development framework for talent management and career development programmes across Companies House that support succession planning and promote individual career development. You�ll own the design, delivery, and evaluation of a variety of specific talent development programmes, including aspiring leaders and high potential development, exploring blended learning options for individuals to expand their skills and experience. Working in partnership, you�ll ensure that all talent development activities align with wider succession, recruitment, and workforce plans and use data and people analytics to understand priority areas of focus and future skills needs.

Learning & Talent - Learning Delivery

You�ll support the ongoing implementation of our new Learning & Talent operating model and lead the overall learning needs analysis process for the organisation, ensuring that this is carried out at the right time and in line with available budgets. You�ll collate organisational-wide learning themes, and lead on the design and delivery of a corporate centralised learning and development plan focussing on professional skills programmes, new starter induction and team development initiatives.� You�ll also provide advice, guidance and support from a learning and talent perspective, for specific projects and organisation-wide initiatives linked to organisational change and transformation.��

Job description

Provide exceptional consultative support and engagement to Directors, senior leaders, Heads of Professions, and other colleagues, providing timely and professional advice, coaching and supportive challenge on where learning and talent initiatives can support the delivery of our strategic goals, enabling our people to flourish and maximise performance.�Work closely with other Learning and Talent Leads to collate organisation-wide learning themes, skills gaps, and priorities, and lead on the design and delivery of centralised and bespoke plans and programmes.�Partner closely with our HR Business Partners, People Coaches, and wider OD&D team, who work across the business, providing advice and guidance on talent and learning strategies.���Utilise data and feedback from our culture of conversation, employee surveys, and business objectives to determine learning priorities.�Feed into the planning and management of the centralised Learning & Talent budget.�Seek to continuously improve the effectiveness and impact of learning and talent programmes and activities, implementing approaches to evaluation and engaging with participants and other relevant stakeholders to seek feedback and data to support improvement of learning experiences.�Develop communication and engagement strategies to inform and update stakeholders on talent and learning activities, including regular updates and presentations, at various meetings and decision-making forums.�Undertake ad hoc facilitation of workshops, focus groups, action learning sets, short courses etc as a subject matter expert in learning and talent development.�Contribute towards the strategic approach to new starter support, ensuring that initiatives are engaging, informative and meet desired objectives.�Maintain oversight of centralised Civil Service learning, talent and leadership programmes to ensure that internal activities are aligned, and appropriate activities are rolled out and embedded.���

In these roles, you�ll lead and drive forward learning and talent development activity at Companies House, ensuring everyone has opportunities to grow and develop.� The post holder(s) will be a key lead for scoping, design, and delivery of an ambitious learning programme of projects and activities supporting our people through change and transformation, working in partnership with key stakeholders and utilising learning and talent data.�

Reporting to the Head of Learning & Talent you will work closely in partnership with colleagues to identify learning needs and recommend and implement solutions that are aligned to business priorities, providing exceptional advice and guidance.���

Person specification

Demonstrable learning and development experience, with specific experience in one or more of the defined specialisms, gained within a fast-paced, complex organisation coupled with strong leadership skills, and the confidence to be able to inspire, collaborate with, and constructively challenge key stakeholders.�Experience of working in a Learning and Development team and a successful track record in commissioning, designing, delivering, and evaluating high quality and innovative L&D programmes using blended learning approaches.�Personable and articulate, able to build excellent trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, demonstrating high levels of integrity and emotional intelligence.�Is data and insights driven; understanding and applying data to measure progress, analyse needs and trends and recommend L&D interventions.�Ability to be pragmatic and resilient, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt quickly in a busy environment where priorities often change, and ambiguity is the norm�Excellent problem solver, able to professionally deal with challenges and difficult situations in a positive way.�Good project management, communication, and organisational skills with a strong teamworking and customer focus ethos, managing multiple projects whilst keeping stakeholders informed and involved.�Understanding of the latest trends and developments in L&D, including new and emerging technologies and how these may drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions.�You�ll be a confident and proactive learning and development professional and a proven leader who is a passionate advocate for continuous learning, growth, and development.

Qualifications

CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) or a willingness to work towards this along with equivalent experience.�Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.�

Desirable

Experience of learning and development delivery in government or public sector�Experience of psychometric tools for learning and talent development�Facilitation or training delivery experience�
