Job description

This post is responsible to the Head Strat and will support them by leading a small team that develops and implements digital and data people strategies, products and services and improvements that enable us to evolve and exploit our whole force HR systems and data, improve user experience, and deliver improved insights into our people to support decision making.� The role requires collaboration with a range of stakeholders including senior personnel (military and civilian) across the Front-Line Commands (Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Strategic Command), the People Function for Defence, Defence Digital, Defence Business Services (MOD Shared Service Provider) and other suppliers as well as a range of internal and external Subject Matter Experts.

The role demands a combination of technical expertise, strategic planning, and influencing and change management skills to successfully navigate the complexities of digital system implementation and exploitation.� The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences and providing the right level of detail to enable decision making is key.� As an experienced senior DDAT professional and through the leadership of a small team (currently both military and Civil Servants) you will:

Cohere the portfolio of Army people digital and data knowledge projects and strategies to enable improved, exploitation, analysis, and insight of whole force workforce data. Lead the Army people digital and data plan within the Personnel Directorate.Lead discussions representing the Army�s position with key senior stakeholders, strategic partners, and service delivery organisations. Where appropriate develop the Army�s strategic approach Lead the coherence of Army personnel digital transformation projects and initiatives.� Coordinate Army�s stakeholders to generate coherence, identify dependencies and improve efficiency in delivery.Coordinate military and civilian HR systems: principal interlocutor with key stakeholders to effect change , to realise benefits of large change and transformation programmes.Lead the implementation of effective data governance for Army People Data, on behalf of Director Personnel, working to Army and Defence standardsKeep the Army at the forefront of people Digital and Data innovation, exploiting and reusing corporate tools from across Defence.Build Digital and Data capability and capacity within the emergent Directorate of Personnel Digital and Data team (centre of expertise), improving ways of working and iterating the team to meet business needs.
