Job description
Lead the implementation and integration of a centralised learning management system (LMS), developing a roadmap that meets key objectives and needs of the whole organisation and that enables quality outcomes across all aspects of the learning cycle.��Lead cross-functional collaboration to design, develop, and launch LMS features that enhance the learning experience, streamline administrative processes, and support instructional design.�As a subject matter expert for digital learning, support and upskill stakeholders to explore new and different ways of using and delivering digital learning content, providing training, and coaching as required.�Work closely with other members of the Talent & Learning team and SME�s to create high quality, engaging and accessible digital learning content.�Provide exceptional consultative support and engagement to Directors, senior leaders, Heads of Professions, and other colleagues, providing timely and professional advice, coaching and supportive challenge on where digital learning can support the delivery of our strategic goals, enabling our people to flourish and maximise performance.�Work closely with other Learning and Talent Leads to collate organisation-wide learning themes, skills gaps, and priorities, and contribute to the design and delivery of centralised and bespoke plans and programmes.�Contribute towards the strategic approach to new starter support from a digital perspective, ensuring that initiatives are engaging, informative and meet desired objectives.�Monitor LMS performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to prioritise content development and improve user engagements.�Ensure all appropriate learning data is held on the LMS to enable effective reporting, monitoring, and continuous improvement.�In collaboration with Internal Communications colleagues, develop and deliver a Learning and Talent communications and engagement strategy that ensures key messages are communicated to the right audiences at the right times, and that promotes visibility of the talent and learning function.�Implement tailored engagement strategies to drive engagement with digital learning and the LMS, which will support longer term learning culture change.�Partner with other projects, groups, and initiatives to ensure a holistic view of people development activities is captured, and opportunities are maximised.�Establish and manage a Learning and Talent Community of Practice, bringing different stakeholders together to collaborate, innovate and solve issues.��Person specification
Demonstrable experience of working with an LMS, with a good awareness of different LMS systems, features, functionality etc.�Commercial and procurement awareness, particularly in relation to LMS procurement.��Previous hands-on experience designing and developing digital learning content, on a range of topics.�Experience of working in a learning and talent team with a strong understanding of general learning and development practice, such as learning design principles, learning technology, curation, and outcome measurement.�Personable and articulate, able to build excellent trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.�Innovation, creativity, and pragmatism, to create effective solutions that enhance learning experiences.�Is data and insights driven; understanding and applying data to measure progress, analyse needs and trends and recommend L&D interventions.�Demonstrates high personal resilience, with the ability to work flexibly and effectively in a busy environment where priorities often change, and ambiguity is the norm�Excellent problem solver, able to professionally deal with challenges and difficult situations in a positive way.�Good project management, communication, and organisational skills with a strong teamworking and customer focus ethos, managing multiple projects whilst keeping stakeholders informed and involved.�Ability to be pragmatic and adapt quickly and proactively to a fast-changing environment, leading by example and motivating others.�Understanding of the latest trends and developments in L&D, including new and emerging technologies (including AI) and how these may drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions.�Qualifications�
CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience) or a willingness to work towards this along with equivalent experience.�Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.�Desirable�
Experience of learning and development delivery in government or public sector�A qualification in digital learning design��
