Job Title: Senior Ecologist

Salary: From 30,000

Location: Sussex

My client, one of the leading independent infrastructure and property consultancies in the UK, who specialise in environment, planning and sustainability, is seeking a Senior Ecologist with extensive experience in the field to join their team in Sussex. As a Senior Ecologist in this independent consultancy, you will have the opportunity to lead complex contracts, guide junior colleagues, deliver high-quality reports, and evaluate technical projects. You will also play a key role in assisting clients and their design teams in overcoming obstacles, while actively contributing to the growth of the business.

Senior Ecologist Criteria

  • Relevant degree (Essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (Essential)
  • Eligibility to work within the UK (Essential)
  • Extensive relevant work experience
  • CIEEM membership
  • The ideal candidate will have a protected species licence(s) (Bat class 2 or GCN class 1 are ideal), specialism within botany, and be able to demonstrate excellent fieldwork and report writing skills
  • Familiarity and experience with BNG assessments is desirable
