About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ecologist to join our team at Wardell Armstrong International Ltd. as a Senior Ecologist. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in ecological consultancy to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the delivery of projects, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
  • Prepare project proposals, including developing project plans and budgets.
  • Mentor junior staff in the field, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Lead protected species surveys, including designing and implementing survey methodologies.
  • Compile, analyze, evaluate, and interpret survey data, providing insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Design protected species mitigation and prepare mitigation licenses, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Produce and contribute to complex technical reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
  • Develop project/financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Four or more continuous years of experience within ecological consultancy.
  • Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline.
  • Hold, or be eligible for, 'associate member' status, or higher, of CIEEM.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving license.
