The Company

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Maintenance Manager to work for a leading recycling and waste management company. They need someone to join their team and continue the growth within the business helping them to tackle reducing waste. The business are very cash rich and now on a journey to modernise their maintenance function. They are looking for someone to help drive and improve the site. Recently investing in a new CMMS they are really taking sides in improving the site. The company are very successful in their market, offering excellent employee benefits, fantastic training, and a great culture to work within.

The Role

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the following but there will be other elements to the role.

  • Leading a team of 12 multi-skilled engineers, driving the culture and supporting in the CI mindset.
  • Leading the values of the business whilst taking an active role in growing and developing various sites.
  • Managing budgets for Stock, Spares, Repairs, Improvement & Upgrades.
  • Oversee installation and upgrade projects.
  • Ensure all contractors have Work Permits.
  • Running of appraisals, 1-2-1s & recruitment.
  • Staff Training.
  • H&S Compliance within the Engineering Department.
  • Running Management Meetings.
  • The business key drive across all of their sites at present is driving change through CI on site engineer.

The Candidate

To be successful as a Maintenance Manager in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience working as an Maintenance Manager.
  • Must have come from an industrial engineering background of some kind.
  • Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification.
