Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the property maintenance sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling expenditure, reconciling cost/value reports, and ensuring value for money.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to understand and contribute to the development of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Cost Control: Controlling all expenditure, reconciling cost/value reports, and profit forecasts.
  • Value for Money: Ensuring value for money and financial assessments.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Managing day-to-day cost control and monitoring and reporting.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Commercial Acumen: Possess a strong commercial acumen and a wealth of experience within the residential new build and social housing sector.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Knowledge of reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Subcontractor Management: Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost management.
  • Building Regulations: Thorough understanding of building regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
  • Qualifications: BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying would be an advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and client relationship skills, knowledge of supply chain management and contractual awareness, negotiating, communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
