The University of Cambridge collections comprise the University's museums, the Botanic Garden and the University Libraries. They are accessible to the public and are a resource for researchers and students. The core cross-collections team focuses on unlocking the University's collections, and the research activities which underpin them, for a larger and more diverse audience.

The Role:

This post is based in the central University of Cambridge Collections Programmes and Collaborations team. Working alongside two other evaluation experts, the postholder will lead on environment and sustainability focused evaluation across the UCM, as well as developing, co-ordinating and contributing to the delivery of a number of evaluation projects and programmes each year. This includes developing and maintaining partnerships, both internally and externally. As well as project management (including budget management) and delivery, the role leads on evaluation and research in relation to the programme area and sharing and disseminating practice, contributing to our sector leadership responsibilities.

About you:

This role manages the cross-collections evaluation activity, contributing to a data-driven understanding of the use and impact of the University's collections, for a larger and more diverse audience. The role builds on previous work undertaken, including the development of a cross-collections evaluation framework, but will significantly grow this activity through new/enhanced frameworks, including around evaluation of activities focused on the environment and sustainability. The role holder will combine development and direct delivery of evaluation activity with co-ordinating, influencing, inspiring and galvanising colleagues across the consortium and wider University to develop and deliver enhanced evaluation planning, data collections and analysis to evidence the achievement of outcomes to key stakeholders and funders.
