SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Chatham, Kent Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £450 - £550 per week.

Vision for Education are working with a large mainstream Primary School based in Chatham to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to support individuals with additional Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role
A successful candidate for this position must be compassionate, understanding and patient. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working on a 1 to 1 basis with pupils with Education, Health and Care plans (EHCP s) to support their learning, as well as encourage on positive communication with their peers.
You ll also be work to alongside a strong, caring and supportive network of staff. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be radiating positivity and ensuring the individual is gaining the best experience and knowledge within the classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals with their tailored Education Plans (EHCP s), based on their needs.
- Encourage pupils to express themselves in a safe environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the school community.
Requirements
- Proven experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs.
- Proven experience in working within an education setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong behaviour management
