Job Role: Instrumentation and Actuation Engineer

Position Summary: As an Instrument and Actuation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for valve applications. This multifaceted role involves offering guidance to the engineering team and the wider company, as well as taking ownership of designated tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical bid support through extensive instrumentation knowledge.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on instrumentation and actuation, addressing common site issues and understanding competitors offerings.
  • Develop and maintain schematics and associated databases.
  • Lead the development and introduction of new in-house actuators in alignment with the new product roadmap.
  • Compile and maintain instrumentation and bracketry tools to facilitate BOM creation.
  • Implement ongoing improvements to instrumentation kit design and drawing office toolkits using lessons learned.
  • Ensure valve assemblies meet customer specifications and provide acceptable performance.
  • Support production operations with setup and problem-solving as needed.
  • Collaborate with third parties on development projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience within the control valve industry or a similar field, demonstrating a proven track record of technical advancement.
  • Excellent knowledge of control valves, actuation, and instrumentation.
  • Proficient understanding of pneumatic systems and performance requirements for control valves.
  • Proficiency with CAD packages such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Systematic approach to tasks and problem-solving.
  • Effective and timely analytical skills.
