Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation Engineer/Scientist to lead the Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test (MAIT) for the Spectrograph work package within the HARMONI consortium.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination and guidance to the spectrograph technical team throughout the MAIT phases.
  • Deliver four fully cryo-tested spectrograph assemblies to UKATC, Edinburgh.
  • Collaborate with the international team to develop and test cryogenic instruments.
  • Ensure the successful integration and testing of the spectrograph assemblies.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctoral qualification in Physics/Engineering.
  • Substantial experience in building and commissioning cryogenic instruments.
  • Experience with prototype development and testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a large international team environment.
About the Role

This is a project-focused role with no requirement to participate in teaching or other academic duties.
