Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking to transition into a full-time role in Project Engineering? This could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will turn electrical designs into practical, executable projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective implementation. You'll work closely with teams across various disciplines to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability

Key Responsibilities of this Electrical Project Engineer roles:

  • Work with electrical designers to turn conceptual designs into actionable projects
  • Analyse 3D models to optimize cable routing and reduce costs
  • Develop cable and termination schedules from wiring schematics
  • Manage project progress trackers and oversee the commissioning of electrical installations
  • Identify and resolve issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation disciplines
  • Prepare quotations for additional project works as needed
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop electrical solutions that meet client needs and industry regulations
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies into our designs
  • Work with the sustainability team to ensure green solutions are prioritized in project designs
  • Engage effectively with designers, maintenance teams, and clients to ensure strong stakeholder engagement
  • Provide regular project updates and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Coordinate project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Promote a safetyfirst culture and engage with health and safety protocols at all project sites
  • Ensure the implementation of quality assurance processes to deliver highquality electrical solutions
  • Assist in value engineering to identify and manage potential cost overruns
  • Support project procurement timelines to optimize cash flow
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project execution
  • Ensure thorough documentation of project activities, including progress reports and milestone tracking
Qualifications and Skills of this Electrical Project Engineer role:

  • Experience in electrical engineering with a strong background in project execution and commissioning
  • Operational and maintenance engineering experience focused on plant improvements
  • Proficiency in interpreting 3D models and design schematics
  • Handson experience with commissioning electrical installations
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with designers, maintenance teams, and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Project
  • Experience across multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation
  • Experience in material handling, heavy industrial machinery, or similar sectors is a plus
