Job Summary:

Contechs is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Project Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the development, integration, and validation of electrical modules into vehicle electrical architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with functional departments, technical partners, and Tier 1 suppliers to design, develop, and integrate electrical modules.
  • Manage compliance with functional safety, legislative, electrical, environmental, and EMC requirements.
  • Coordinate supplier management and support procurement, logistics, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for commodity attributes such as quality, costs, timing, and weight.
  • Lead DFMEA and system reviews, and manage the implementation of engineering change requests.
  • Experience in harness testing and validation processes, and engineering sign-off.
  • Ability to use engineering development tools such as JIRA, Polarion, and collaborative platforms like Microsoft Office 365.

Requirements:

  • Honors degree in Electrical or related fields such as Electronics, Control Systems, or Automotive.
  • Demonstrable experience in automotive electrical components design, development, and manufacture.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Experience in design for good electrical and EMC performance.
  • Established contacts within the automotive ecosystem, including Tier 1 and component suppliers.
  • Knowledge of hybrid and full-electric vehicle architectures and wiring systems is advantageous.
