Interim Chief Executive Officer months (temporary post)
£95,611 from 1st September 2024 rising to £96,567 on 1stJune days annual leave and Local Government Pension Scheme
Stirling - Please note, Colleges Scotland operates a Hybrid Working Policy and whilst this post is based in Stirling, the successful candidate would not necessarily need to be in the office on a full-time basis.
The Colleges Scotland Board is seeking an Interim Chief Executive Officer who is passionate about our sector, our learners and our staff; embraces the need for championing the voice of our colleges; is experienced in working effectively with elected members and civil servants; and has track record of leading organisational change in an open and inclusive way.
With the current challenges and opportunities facing the tertiary sector, the Colleges Scotland Board is conducting a review of the Strategic priorities and business model of the organisation in September 2024. A key result area for the Interim Chief Executive Officer is to take forward the outcomes of the review.
The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and effective strategic leader who is knowledgeable about Scotland's college sector and has proven track-record of transformational change. They will facilitate the development of a refreshed business and organisational model to meet growing demands of Colleges Scotland's membership, for approval by the Board to inform the recruitment of the substantive Chief Executive Officer.
The Colleges Scotland Board wants to develop further within Colleges Scotland to support our colleges in their ambitions to shape and lead sector reforms. We want to build on the increasing awareness of the life-changing work of the college sector whilst producing innovative solutions that address our current financial challenges.
The successful candidate needs to be available at relatively short notice and to that end a secondment opportunity will be considered.
