Financial Crime Risk Manager

As a Barclays Financial Crime Risk Manager, you will support the BUK Customer Financial Crime team to protect both Barclays and our customers from the social and economic impact of Financial Crime.

This will involve developing, maintaining and managing the FC risk and control responsibilities and oversight across BUK Customer including suppliers (BX).

This role will be based from either London, Glasgow, Manchester or Northampton.

The hiring manager for the role will discuss the appropriate defined time in office for the role with you as part of the application process.

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.

We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).

What will you be doing?

  • Leading changes to central Financial Crime Standards, Policies and BUK FC TOM to ensure they are fit for purpose for BUK Customer Business
  • Carrying out Gap Analysis /Impact Assessment for BUK Customer Business of proposed changes to the above
  • Reviewing and creating policy documents and updating as appropriate
  • Working across the 3 lines of defence for policy updates and to obtain approval for any changes made
  • Leading the annual Fin Crime Risk Assessment (and FC related elements of RCSA), for BUK Customer including gap analysis and risk reporting
  • Managing and supporting FC Control Mapping and assessment across BUK Customer
  • Supporting with the collation of periodic and ad-hoc FC reporting such as Reputational Risk, Conduct Risk and REPCRIM
  • Attending Governance and Oversight Forums as required, accounting for the preparation of packs and papers to support the various Fin Crime meetings and committees

  • Project management experience
  • Stakeholder management- the ability to manage and influence multiple stakeholders and different levels
Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Leadership experience, including leadership across virtual teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn complex topics in to succinct proposals to allow decisions to be made
  • The ability to interpret complex data sets to produce conclusions
  • Self organisation used to working to deadlines

Glasgow

London

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

Northampton

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.

This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff.

The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.


Manchester

In the centre of Spinningfields, Hardman Street is right in the centre of the best of Manchester's professional business network.

A multi divisional space with Corporate, Wealth, Premier and Digital colleagues, the offices include a client suite for meetings for up to 100 people, but are equally intimate for smaller meetings.
