Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a maths lecturer to join our cross-college team at our Cambridge campus.

We are looking for lecturers who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by helping them develop essential maths skills. As part of the cover team, you will cover classes when needed, delivering small group sessions and undertaking admin duties associated with the role.

The role is working 37 hours per week and initially on a fixed term until June 2025, with the potential to extend or a route into internal permanent roles.

We are looking for lecturers who can:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in maths to students of various abilities
  • Follow the curriculum and lesson plans provided, ensuring continuity in the learning process.
  • Adapt quickly to new classrooms and students, fostering a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive educational community.

What we are looking for in our role:

  • Experience of delivering up to GCSE is essential
  • A patient and kind person to inspire and guide our learners to progress in their subjects
  • A L5 teaching qualification or willingness to undertake one in the next 12 months. Minimum A level/ Level 3 qualification in the subject you are applying to teach
