Bored of being a Class Teacher? We have an interesting and varied role It involves teaching Maths to small groups of pupils in Key Stage 2, as well some cover in Year 4. It is for 3 days per week with occasional extra days on offer some weeks.

About the role

We are helping a lovely school in Cambridge find an experienced teacher with a passion for teaching Maths to work full time from September for at least one term, but probably the whole year. The role involves teaching groups of 5 or 6 KS2 children in the mornings and then in the afternoon, you will cover in Year 4 - two days of this is PPA cover and three days are as an extra teacher in another Year 4 class, helping a group of children within the class.

The school is an incredibly friendly and well-regarded primary school in central Cambridge. It is a large, 3 form entry school with a very established and long-standing staff team. It is a 'Good' school which has high standards and targets for its students to strive for. It expects the best provision for the children under its care and is led by an experienced senior team who support their staff in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Maths Intervention and Cover Teacher you will:

  • Experience of working with KS2 children
  • Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS)

Salary

£140 to £180 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • QTS
  • Primary teaching experience
