Who You Are:

  • We are seeking an experienced Head of Search Engine Optimization (Snr. Director/Director of SEO) to lead our SEO strategy and execution of initiatives across multiple brands. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing SEO plans which drive business results for large scale platforms, technical SEO experience is required, forecasting and analytics capabilities are necessary, along with team coaching and management expertise. Given the cross functional growth potential, experience with other digital marketing channels is a plus. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong ability to drive performance and deliver impactful results.

Your Next Challenge:

  • Addresses existing areas of need, already identified, applying expertise to these areas, modifying as necessary, but addressing on a timeline.
  • Develop a comprehensive, long term SEO strategy which drives business outcomes, across multiple brands.
  • Turn strategy into actionable plans, including resource allocation, impact assessments, and roadmaps, which can be understood and executed by technology teams.
  • Conduct and deliver technical SEO audits to identify opportunities and improvements, with prioritized investment to facilitate future growth
  • Partner with stakeholders effectively across E-commerce (digital, design, operations) and Technology (front-end and back-end developers) to execute plans
  • Improve reporting and timeliness of deliverables, facilitating robust discussions on value versus investment.
  • Implement and optimize SEO strategies for Generative AI in an e-commerce context to enhance coverage and awareness.
  • Revise authority development approaches aligned with business goals for both Getty Images and iStock.
  • Develop and maintain a data-driven scorecard to showcase improvement in delivery aligned to the plan and SEO foundations.
  • Lead and manage the SEO team, ensuring goal setting, performance management, and growth opportunities for key stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

SEO Performance:
  • Completion and implementation of technical SEO audits with documented strategy to drive improvements.
  • Achieve incremental revenue goals from SEO initiatives aligned with the strategy developed.
  • Significant improvements in SEO rankings and organic traffic for targeted creative terms, AI Overviews and structured data.
  • Monthly reviews, including data-driven rank tracking and reporting shared with executive stakeholders.

Project Delivery:
  • Completion of SEO strategy and plans by specified deadlines.
  • Timely delivery of roadmaps for iStock and Getty Images.
  • Effective prioritization of resources to drive impact vs. "busy work".

Team Management:
  • Effective goal setting and performance management for the SEO team.
  • Development plans for all team members, with appropriate stretch goals.

Reporting and Analytics:

Digital Marketing Integration:

What You'll Need:

  • Experience with e-commerce SEO, especially leading a function for large-scale websites – preferably with marketplace dynamics.
  • Proven track record in technical SEO, including audits, on-page optimization, and technical issue resolution.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and expertise related to front end and back-end development
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in using SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and paid media optimization.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
