Position Overview

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Head of Engineering to manage the engineering functions of our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Engineering, your primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all machinery and facilities are maintained in optimal condition, addressing any engineering challenges swiftly and effectively.
  • Supervising daily engineering activities, which involves managing team schedules, delegating responsibilities, and guaranteeing that all tasks are executed punctually and to a superior standard.
  • Formulating and executing preventive maintenance strategies to keep all equipment and facilities in excellent working order.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations during all engineering operations.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external vendors and contractors, including contract negotiations and ensuring high-quality work within budget constraints.
  • Overseeing the financial aspects of the engineering department.
  • Conducting routine assessments of the facilities and equipment to identify and rectify any engineering concerns promptly.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all engineering activities, including expenditures, completed tasks, and materials utilized.
  • Providing comprehensive reports to upper management regarding the status of engineering operations and any emerging issues.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training, and professional development of engineering personnel.

Qualifications
