We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Motor Underwriter to support the growth and retention of our comprehensive and established Commercial Motor Client Portfolio.

This position would ideally suit an individual from a Commercial Motor Insurance broking/underwriting background looking to further their career within Commercial Motor underwriting.

We will rely on you to:

  • Contribute to and implement the underwriting strategy for all products, working within our established risk appetite
  • Directly contribute towards financial KPI's, including balancing the achievement of revenue without any detriment to underwriting profitability
  • Deliver Marsh/Victor service levels on all authorised products
  • Ensure that TCF is a part of the organisation's culture and behaviours
  • Have awareness of and ensure adherence of all regulatory requirements, guidelines and working practices – both internally and externally
  • Manage quality first and underwriting peer review requirements to identify areas for underwriting and product improvement
  • Act within underwriting authority
  • Build strong relationships with broking partners
  • Build strong relationship with internal stakeholders
  • Be responsible for own personal technical and skill set progression
  • Complete project work as per briefs and provide appropriate feedback as to projects goals and aim

  • Experience of working in the Commercial Motor insurance market
  • Experience of working in teams and successful record of delivering results
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service ethos
  • Good organisational skills to ensure that company processes and procedures are maintained
