London, Greater London, United Kingdom RSM Full time
As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions -- we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

Company Overview

Are you an experienced Consultant ready for your next challenge?

RSM's Digital Advisory practice has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join the sixth largest provider of audit, tax and consulting services to entrepreneurial growth-focused organisations globally.

Here at RSM, we work collaboratively with our clients to help them overcome performance challenges or setting them up to successfully deliver their strategic objectives. We do this through process optimisation, embedding operational excellence and redesigning operating models. We are guided by good practice principles, and the latest technologies, but never constrained by them. At our core we are critical-thinkers, problem-solvers and visionaries.

About the role

As an Associate Director in RSMs Finance Transformation practice, you will play a critical role in helping our clients to leverage the latest digital technologies and best practices to modernise their finance function and achieve their business goals.

Your primary focus will be on leading the team to deliver a high-quality service for our clients, for which you will need a finance background, strong analytical skills and be an exceptional communicator. You will therefore be able to confidently facilitate client workshops to gain a deep understanding of how their finance function operates on a day-to-day basis. From your knowledge and experience, coupled with your awareness of good practice principles, you will be able to identify relevant and practical improvement initiatives to help them both modernise their finance function and help support the delivery of their strategic vision.

You should therefore be able to demonstrate that you can lead and manage Finance Transformation projects, have a strong understanding of Finance process design, and evidence that you have delivered value to the organisations you've worked with previously.

Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking individuals who are eager to learn, develop their skills and knowledge and who are above all committed to delivering excellence to join us on this journey. You will also be required to support business development opportunities. You must therefore have a proven ability to "win" work and build a strong pipeline. It goes without saying that you are a team player, a self starter with a 'can do' attitude and understand that the best solutions come from collaboration and exchange of ideas.

Please note our work can take us UK-wide (and potentially, occasionally beyond), so you must be prepared to travel and for some overnight stays.

Personal and professional qualities

It is our people that makes RSM what it is, and our commitment to people is paramount to our success. We believe that our people are our greatest asset and are committed to creating an environment that supports their personal and professional goals. Our culture of transparency means that we value open and honest communication at every level of the company. We believe that by sharing information and being upfront with each other, we can build a stronger, more collaborative team.

We also prioritise the professional and personal development of our employees and therefore offer ongoing training and development opportunities to help our team members grow and thrive in their careers.
