The opportunity

My client is a dynamic organisation that is digitising Britain's energy system to enable households and businesses to use more renewable energy.

In this high level Senior Legal Counsel position, you will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the business in an advisory capacity and front facing commercial role.

You will support multi-million pound commercial (buy and sell side) and corporate transactions, managing relationships with external legal providers as you develop your commercial skills in an environment where you are elevated and not bogged down by lower-level work. This will allow your commercial skills to flourish

About you

The ideal candidate will be c. 4-5 years PQE+ and could be in private practice or in-house experience at present.

The role will require:

  • A strong understanding of TMT with a broad commercial background.
  • Exposure to regulatory matters in the telecommunications and/or energy sector will be valuable. Time spent leading on high-value sourcing and technology transaction will be incredibly helpful.
  • Experience working as an existing Senior Counsel level where you are advising clients or the business closely and supporting on high value deals is beneficial. However, you could also be an excellent Legal Counsel looking for the next progression opportunity as an SLC.
