Roles that require PVG Membership

Please be aware that for roles requiring PVG membership with a salary of £30,000 and above, candidates will need to cover the membership cost after 1 April 2023. The Council will initially cover this cost, which will be deducted from the first month's salary payment.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality education to students and actively participating in the school's professional and corporate environment. You will need to hold relevant teaching qualifications, GTC (Scotland) registration, and PVG scheme membership working with children.

Requirements:

Appropriate teaching qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the relevant subject/sector or eligibility for such registration
- PVG scheme membership for Working with Children

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Familiarity with the General Teaching Council for Scotland Standards for Registration and Career Long Professional Learning
- Understanding of the Aberdeen City Council's guiding principles

Experience:
