Purpose
As Operations Manager (Fleet Services), you will be directly responsible for ensuring the highest standards of operational performance and regulatory compliance for service contracts, predominantly maintenance, accident management and roadside recovery.
Ensuring services are delivered on time, to the required technical standard and within budget, whilst maximising stakeholder satisfaction by driving service improvements, you will own relationships with key suppliers, being one of the first points of contact for all external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Implementing and maintaining systems of work that uphold all legal responsibilities of the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for the Transport Management holder and all associated undertakings, with the view to fully protecting ScottishPower from being subjected to enforcement and regulatory action, you will be responsible for supplier operational performance management and driving service improvements by working in partnership with the supply chain and operational ScottishPower business units in support of ScottishPower's strategic and H&S goals.
Engaging Team Leaders across the ScottishPower Group to plan and deliver all maintenance requirements of the ScottishPower fleet (consisting of approximately 1,500 vehicles) and to understand specific businesses requirements where best value can be driven through streamlining processes, you will provide all necessary technical guidance in relation to vehicle specification, supporting the delivery of fully compliant commercial vehicles whilst remaining up to date with Construction and Use & Whole Vehicle Type approval legislation.
Ensuring appropriate systems, processes and controls are in place and exercised within all ScottishPower contracts, with the view to fully protecting ScottishPower from being subjected to enforcement and regulatory action through any breach of Operator Licence regulations, you will manage all reporting to demonstrate value and delivery against core objectives with year-on-year improvements against key performance metrics.
What you'll bring
With comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent experience, you will possess a Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Management.
Being able to handle large volumes of data, presenting data accurately and clearly, you will be experienced in the drafting of technical specifications with excellent attention to detail.
Displaying supplier relationship management skills, you will possess knowledge of budget and financial management, people management, influencing and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
With a broad understanding of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association standard or possessing equivalent experience, you will manage your own performance with significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance varied and challenging workloads, whilst producing high quality results within demanding timeframes.
Flexible to work outwith normal working hours regularly to deal with planned workloads or in response to emergency plans/business continuity/disaster recoveries, you will be able to work flexibly in locations which are outwith your normal working location.
