We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at DHL International (UK) Limited. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Service Centre employees and managing the day-to-day operations of the Service Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure daily operational targets are met and take immediate action to address under-performance
- Support the implementation and deployment of regional and country projects, programs, and initiatives within the Service Centre
- Manage operational cost drivers to achieve P&L and cost targets, and measure productivity
- Plan, monitor, negotiate, and control expenditure on areas such as overtime, subcontracting, suppliers, Service Providers, and fleet maintenance
- Ensure resource is managed in line with projected operational requirements
- Provide clear performance standards and staff, coach, train, and motivate the team to meet set targets
- Utilize company reporting tools to monitor performance at both team and individual levels, and take appropriate action to address non-conformance or under-achievement
- Perform appraisal processes for all team members within agreed timeframes to manage individual performance and job satisfaction
- Excellent operational process knowledge
