Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time

Exeter College, part of the University of Oxford, seeks an enthusiastic and motivated Schools Liaison Officer to join its Academic Office team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team, at a time when the College is expanding its access and outreach provision; we firmly believe in seeking to attract and admit students with the greatest academic potential, from whatever background they come, and the postholder will play a key role in making this aspiration a reality.

In particular, you will support the Access & Outreach Lead in implementing our strategy by delivering targeted Access work in schools, organising our annual residential programme and other large-scale outreach events (e.g. Open Days, Information Days, etc), representing the college at external events, and producing key reports and metrics to analyse the effectiveness of our programmes.

To be successful, you will have relevant experience of Higher Education and/or of working with young people, together with a good understanding of access and progression to Higher Education. Strong administrative skills are a must, as are a proven ability to successfully prioritise multiple competing demands, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You also will be comfortable building relationships quickly and easily with people from a wide range of backgrounds, with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work autonomously and with initiative when required.

Salary will be within the range £28,759 to £33,966 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, the College offers a range of other benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance, access to contributory pension scheme and healthcare/ dental cover, and a free lunch whilst on duty.

This is a fixed-term contract for a period of 3 years, with the potential to extend beyond this depending on further funding being secured.
