Smile Education are delighted to be working alongside a forward-thinking primary school located in North Birmingham. We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join this mainstream primary school to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. The successful applicant will be working on the schools Resource Base, located within the school grounds and specially tailored to support pupils with varied needs. You will be supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2, working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support including interventions on key curriculum areas such as phonics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking school dedicated to supporting all it's pupils. The school is located in north Birmingham, within proximity to Handsworth, Handsworth Wood, Birchfield and Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary range for this role is between £80-90 per day, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning. Applicants should be confident supporting pupils with SEND, including ASC, and SEMH needs. This is a great role for anyone wishing to further their knowledge and experience within SEND education.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.Available to work on a full-time basis, Monday – FridayConfident supporting pupils with SEND and working on a resource base located in the school grounds
