Are you a dedicated and proactive individual with experience as a Function Skills Teacher/Lecturer?

Career Teachers are looking for a Functional Skills Teacher to deliver a curriculum based on the below:

Preparing for Adulthood pathways

  • Good Health
  • Independent Living
  • Employment
  • Friends, Relationships and the Community.

You will be deliver teaching and learning both in the college and community settings.

Learners are working at pre-entry level, aged 16-25, experience of behaviours of concern are essential and, you will be expected to complete schemes of work, session plan, monitor progress against targets, write annual review reports attend team meetings and, any other duties appropriate to the role.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Diploma in Education & Training (DET)/alternative teaching qualification.
  • Experience in delivering good or outstanding Functional Skills and employability lessons from Entry level to Level 2.
  • Experience of teaching students with special education needs and barriers to learning.
  • Able to demonstrate effective planning of employment educational programmes for adults with learning difficulties, disabilities including SEMH.
