Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement tailored support plans.
  • Use creative and imaginative approaches to engage pupils and promote their learning.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with ASD.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for all pupils to flourish.
