We are seeking an Aspiring Psychologist to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a local school in Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and develop their skills in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SEN and SEND in a 1:1 and small group setting
- Work under the guidance of an experienced SENCO to implement work programmes and support students with additional learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being
- Hold a minimum degree (or predicted) of a 2:1 in Psychology from a top 20 university
- Confident and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young students with SEN and SEND
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other professionals
