Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer - Field Product Assurance Engineer

Location: Barrow in Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £45K depending on skills and experience (plus essential car & expenses)

What you'll be doing:

  • Taking accountability for the Quality Assurance and verification requirements of documentation and hardware of procured parts at the supplier's sites both UK and overseas (you will be eligible for an essential user car due to the extensive travel requirements of the role)
  • Oversight and witnessing of manufacturing operations and subsequent inspections
  • Verification of documentation in-process & final
  • Providing support and coaching to suppliers
  • Ensuring that high quality records are produced as an output of the production processes and inspections

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Broad Understanding of Quality tools & techniques
  • Experience working within Supply Chain conducting verification activities
  • HNC qualified within engineering/quality or strong mechanical trade background
  • CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection or PCN Level 2 Welding Inspection
  • Coating Inspection Level 2 (ICORR or NACE/AMPP)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Business Systems (SAP and Team Centre)
  • NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) Level 2 Certification
