Role: Payroll Coordinator

Salary: Up to 26,000

Location: Chesterfield

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish times)

We are currently supporting a highly successful and rapidly growing business in Chesterfield, who are seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

In essence, this role is responsible for the successful completion of all payroll activities to a high standard and on a timely basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all employees are paid accurately, and to payroll deadlines
  • Complete payroll processing and reconciliation
  • Complete various payroll reporting, including gross to net reports and analysis of deductions
  • Ensure payments are loaded onto the bank
  • Ensure all payroll deductions are made accurately and the appropriate taxes are paid to HMRC
  • Process expenses, and ensure they have been approved / paid within policy
  • Raise advances and other ad hoc payments
  • Quickly respond to pay queries

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working in a payroll position
  • Experience with Sage 50 payroll & Time Management Systems
  • Familiar with Excel and MS office
  • Able to prioritise own work and work under pressure to deadlines
  • Detail focused and organised
