We are now recruiting for Senior Credit Controller to join us. Reporting to the Free Trade Team Leader this role will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Daily credit management (trade and loan) ensuring targets, deadlines and objectives are met
  • Managing risk by regular/daily phone contact with customers and sales managers
  • Issue of 7-day letters when needed, ensuring accuracy and liaising with the internal Recovery Team to allow for correct coding of the account when transferred to the team, including any ad hoc contracts are detailed on the transfer form (CQDS, gas, etc)
  • Working confidently to deal effectively with customers that default from their payment terms by negotiating an agreement of repayment plans whilst ensuring the company's credit policy is adhered
  • Review, assess held orders to manage risk; referring to authority matrix if needed and ensure they are released within a required timescale or where necessary ensure that the customer and sales team are notified of any delays/ held orders
  • To ensure that the Team Leader / Credit Manager are regularly updated and that areas of concern are highlighted promptly.
  • Review and maintain accurate master data records by actioning housekeeping reports promptly and ensuring compliance with GDPR rules including the closed account process.
  • Contribute to a successful team culture, building relationships and helping to develop and maintain a high-performance team ethos through training and mentoring.

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Experience in a senior credit controller role or finance experience in the brewing industry with a desire to work in Credit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presenting, report writing.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Ability to prioritise and plan daily tasks without need for referral
  • Ability to work confidently as part of a team or alone
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with incredible attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of ERP(SAP), 365 Office
  • Aptitude for problem solving with the ability to work using their own initiative
  • A drive for continuous development improvement in self
  • Have worked in a fast-paced organisation and results driven environment
  • Ability to interpret financial data with awareness of Money Laundering and Fraud Prevention
