Key Responsibilities Include:
Advisory and Compliance Management: Provide expert advice on conflicts of interest and confidentiality issues, address compliance-related inquiries, and assist with professional indemnity renewal and mySRA updates.Policy Development: Draft, update, and review risk and compliance policies and procedures; monitor and respond to incoming legislation and regulations.Client and Third-Party Relations: Review and negotiate terms, respond to information requests, handle engagement letter queries, and manage conflict clearance for incoming lateral hires and secondments.Client On-boarding: Advise on client on-boarding processes, including POCA reporting, sanctions, and client account queries.Training and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver risk and compliance training; proactively share knowledge in team meetings.Project Management: Lead and manage ad hoc risk and compliance projects.This role is ideal for a qualified, solutions-oriented lawyer with experience at a large city or international law firm, preferably within an in-house compliance team. It offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a client service-focused position at a Tier 1 firm, with a competitive compensation package of up to £150k per annum.
