Job Reference: 35408 Polytec are looking for a Laboratory Co-ordinator for our client based in Cambridge

Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain specialist cryogenic equipment suggesting upgrades as necessary in response to changing requirements and advances in technology Maintenance and running of the cryostats and research laboratories Ensure a safe working environment, monitoring compliance Co-ordinate laboratory maintenance Provide health and safety training on cryogenic safety Requirements: Knowledge of Cryogenics Practical experience of specialised laboratory activity and equipment (optical, electronic, computer-controlled, mechanical, high-pressure, cryogenic and vacuum) Experience in providing training both to groups and on a one-to-one basis Experience of implementing health and safety requirements Specialist knowledge of relevant regulations and practice and laboratory processes Good IT skills High degree of precision and accuracy Advanced knowledge of lab technician work involving a critical understanding of relevant theory and/or principles HND/HNC in a relevant field or equivalent level of practical experience Excellent communication and organisational skills Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
