Purpose
Our domestic sales channels have aggressive growth plans in place to deliver customer number growth within an increasingly competitive market. As Area Sales and Development Manager - Compliance, you will be responsible for the deployment and co-ordination of sales training and compliance activities, budget control and reporting within our domestic sales channels.

This role is varied, complex, demanding and challenging. As a self-starter with the ability to work independently, you will be required to travel to meet with internal stakeholders and external partners.

You will also be required to plan and manage your time to account for competing priorities in line with compliance, training and sales delivery plans.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinating and deploying sales activities, budget control and reporting in domestic sales channels, you will be required to roll-out an operating plan, prioritising the implementation of strategies to develop the business to move forward with the pursuit of domestic channel and departmental goals.

Reviewing performance on a frequent basis, account managing and maintaining relationships with sales partnerships, you will be required to challenge as appropriate where targets are not met, implementing necessary remedial actions.

Visits to partners must be conducted in line with channel compliance requirements, supporting acquisition and retention of valuable customers in conjunction with Marketing through the delivery of pro-active strategies, engaging with customers which encourages them to stay with ScottishPower for the longer term.

You will be required to travel and meet with both internal stakeholders and external partners, planning and managing your time to account for competing priorities whilst managing stakeholders' expectations.

What you'll bring

This role requires a broad range of skills to deliver strategies which will achieve sales, financial, added value and quality target business objectives across a diverse range of activities involving sales partners, specifically relationship management skills given the dependency on internal resources and external third parties for success, an ability to understand complexity quickly and make decisions with confidence and clarity, being a self-starter to work independently due to this role being complex, demanding and challenging.

With your ability to influence a wide portfolio of stakeholders with differing interests, we require a high level of knowledge, tact and diplomacy both in written and oral communication in order to be seen as credible and argue ScottishPower's position with vigour and to achieve the preferred outcome.

Your strong understanding of the Energy marketplace and its commercial value will be essential, as is your ability to prioritise work and deliver results whilst managing multiple stakeholders and competing demands within a rapidly changing environment.

Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skill with Line management experience in a Sales or project management role is required for this role.

What's in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At ScottishPower, we believe it's the little things we do in life that make a big difference.
