COPY CREATION & LOCALISATION We are a diverse, dynamic, global team of content creators dedicated to communicating the FARFETCH message to our customers.

The Copy Creation & Localisation umbrella manages end-to-end content, creating a unique luxury experience found only on FARFETCH.


LONDON Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, and is home to a wide range of teams.

THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Senior Copy Creation and Localisation Lead - Middle East, you will be responsible for the brand and marketing content localisation process and quality.

You will ensure that our copy is customer-centric, effective and tailored to the region across all Farfetch channels while capturing the Farfetch tone of voice.

Proven experience in writing and transcreating content is important, as is having a deep understanding of the luxury e-commerce landscape in the Middle East region.

To succeed in this role, you must have an extensive knowledge of the Arabic language and the Middle Eastern cultural nuances.

You'll benefit from working with a large multi-lingual team of around 120+ employees within Farfetch, presenting unique opportunities to interact with various departments and learn cutting-edge localisation tools and solutions.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • You are responsible for the delivery of local and global campaign content by collaborating with different stakeholders;
  • You are responsible for ensuring all copy follows our Tone of Voice and Style Guide across all channels and reaches the Quality standard;
  • You are responsible for quality assessments as well as regularly monitoring and maintaining machine translation output;
  • Work closely with other copy creators to optimise content as well as identify areas to improve by setting up quality metrics;
  • You are responsible for creating/maintaining and updating guides, glossaries and guidelines;
  • You are responsible for internal and external CMS management;
  • You ensure brand consistency at all times;
  • You take part in training and developing other team members to ensure harmony within the team and share knowledge;
  • You will support with coordinating internal team tasks.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are highly proficient in Arabic writing, and have a good level of fluency in English;
  • You have a firm understanding of tone of voice, with an ability to adapt style to suit specific context;
  • You have high attention to detail;
  • You are an expert in defining and identifying culturally sensitive content (topics, copy, products, imagery);
  • You have experience in project management;
  • You can work independently yet enjoy collaborating and working alongside multiple stakeholders;
  • You have deep knowledge of the luxury fashion ecommerce landscape in the Middle East region, its players and consumers;
  • You are experienced in using CAT tools and managing Translation Memories;
  • You are comfortable with digital work on inhouse CMSs;
  • You can analyse data and use it to improve content creation and localisation practices;
  • You thrive in the face of ambiguity and a deadlinedriven working environment, embracing unexpected challenges in a calm manner.
