Position: Finance Assistant

Location: Haddenham

Hours: 25 hour week, either 4 or 5 days.

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Haddenham.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Finance Assistant to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Process daily all incoming mail to the accounts mailbox ensuring prompt action.
  2. Load all invoices in the QX accounts system.
  3. Raise invoice queries internally and chase/follow up to resolution and conclusion.
  4. Handle pro forma invoice requests and pay suppliers as per agreed SLA.
  5. Manage, reconcile, and maintain various balance sheet accounts.
  6. Review and reconcile supplier statements.
  7. Daily banking updates.
  8. Assist in preparation of month end accounts to meet specified deadlines.
  9. Assist with any internal/external audits.
  10. Support with ad-hoc administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Experience:

Good grasp of numeracy/maths.

Basic to intermediate Excel skills (V-lookups and basic pivot tables).

Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook; able to manage inboxes effectively.

At least 1 year's work experience within a finance or accounts department using accounting software packages.

Excellent interpersonal skills; verbal (face to face or phone) and written communication.

Ability to work in a methodical and organised manner.

Ability to prioritise work tasks and be flexible to meet changing priorities.

Confidence to interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure query resolution.
