About the role

This is a first line subject matter expert role, reporting to the Head of Operational Conduct, you will be responsible for supporting the operational service functions with the integration and ongoing requirements of Consumer Duty. This will include developing mechanisms for the ongoing internal control of regulatory and conduct risks, supporting our Customer First culture. Acting as a challenger, advisor and partner to the business whilst supporting the Head of Operational Conduct on conduct risk and regulatory risk compliance matters. Working to enhance our customer focused processes, with appropriate involvement in the identification, monitoring, measuring, reporting and mitigation of associated risks

What you'll be doing
  • You will be the subject matter expert for Consumer Duty in the first line supporting various business functions and product lines
  • Focusing on good outcomes for customers, you will engage with key operational business functions, in terms of implementing and embedding our Consumer Duty requirements.
  • Support Business leads with planning and coordination of Communication Review on an annual basis. i.e. agreeing the 12 month plan, monitoring the process and ensuring reviews and insight testing are carried out/appropriate.
  • Leading or supporting business change projects from a Consumer Duty/conduct risk stand point.
  • Own and enhance the MI structure for Consumer Duty Dashboard/Reporting and support production of the Annual Board Report
  • Work with operational business heads in terms of implementing and embedding our Consumer Duty requirements.
  • This will include supporting senior management and, as a subject matter expert, various functions across Paragon, including Internal Audit, Compliance, Learning & Development, External Relations and IT
    About You

    • Apply professional judgment to identify, diagnose and resolve essential regulatory and conduct focused changes with a sound knowledge of the Consumer Duty and its requirements.
    • A customer focused mentality, able to challenge, support and work collaboratively with multiple areas across Paragon.
    • Leadership skills (teamwork, models our company values, managing performance etc)
    • A proven track record of pragmatic solutions delivery as well as operational development and relationship management
    • The ability to build strong relationships with key business partners.
    • The ability to support change activity to deliver Good Outcomes for customers.
    • Possess a high degree of self-confidence, highly organised with strong interpersonal skills
