Purpose of role

Grosvenor Treasury operates a coordinated function across Grosvenor, supporting operating companies in the UK, the Americas and legacy assets in Asia and Europe, as well as managing treasury activity for the Group Team (including Grosvenor Diversified Property Investments) and providing ad hoc treasury advice to the Family Office and Grosvenor Food & AgTech.

The purpose of the role, which sits within the Financing and Front Office team, is to provide functional leadership of treasury front office activity across Grosvenor's global business.

Front office activity at Grosvenor includes interest rate hedging, FX, cash investments, bank guarantees, intra group financing and cash pooling activity and oversight of KYC.

Front office leadership involves responsibility for the provision of execution, support, and advice on front office activity to businesses across Grosvenor, including co-ordination of Financing and Front Office colleagues in the planning and execution of front office activity. This position provides an opportunity to shape success in treasury across Grosvenor's global business as the organisation continues to grow and the Treasury team responsibilities continue to increase, and treasury activities increase in complexity.

Key responsibilities


• Leadership of the treasury front office, ensuring that all front office activity is conducted in accordance with best practice, internal policies and external regulatory requirements.


• Operational management of the front office, including planning and delivering (personally and through colleagues) all required front office activity, management and execution of related contractual documentation (e.g. ISDAs), the capturing of relevant information in the Treasury Management System and reporting on treasury exposures managed by the front office.


• Leadership of the Group's internal liquidity management, including intra group funding and cash pooling.


• Oversight of KYC for Treasury and leadership of automation opportunities to enhance the KYC process.


• Developing and utilising stakeholder relationships to source data and information to forecast, plan and manage front office activity, including the front office cash flow forecast.


• Applying an in-depth understanding of the external regulatory environment as it relates to treasury front office activity. Managing the impact of the external regulatory environment on front office activity, including prospective scanning and preparation for relevant regulatory changes.


• Identifying and delivering continuous improvement in the operational efficiency and outcomes of front office activity.


• Execution of treasury risk management for external debt financings, including interest rate and FX hedging.


• Development of treasury and financing policies.


• Supporting bank, lending and other external and internal relationships from a front office perspective.


• Liaising with the Tax team.


• Ad hoc projects.

To achieve this, it will be necessary to:


• Work closely and flexibly with the finance teams across Grosvenor OpCos which are located in a range of time zones.


• Act as a trusted business partner, by building and maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with the finance teams and colleagues from other relevant disciplines, including development and investment teams.


• Constructively challenge performance where it falls short of expected standards and identify areas of outperformance that can be implemented in other treasury activities and debt financings.


• Work closely and communicate effectively with the full Treasury team to ensure clear understanding and sharing of knowledge in respect of treasury activity across Grosvenor's global business.


• Be able to work on liquidity management and front office activity both individually and within teams, as required.


• Work collaboratively with the Financing and Front Office Treasury team to arrange front office cover as required.


• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve processes through automation, including the use of AI where appropriate.

Key requirements


• An experienced treasury professional with an excellent proven track record, preferably within an international group.


• Corporate finance experience.


• In-depth familiarity with treasury documentation (e.g. ISDAs) an advantage.


• AMCT qualification or appropriate experience in front office treasury management. Accounting qualification an advantage.


• Strong academic credentials, minimum of a Bachelor's degree.


• Extensive experience of Treasury systems; experience of FIS Integrity an advantage.


• Excellent written and oral communication skills.


• Adept at influencing and persuading internal and external stakeholders at all levels.


• The ability to simplify complex issues, being hands on with high attention to detail, yet also highly skilled at developing and understanding the bigger picture.
